Besides the crazy posts from hackers, is our data secure? Did they get our emails? Lately I have been getting crazy emails asking me to click on links to get refunds and package deliveries. I am just wondering if these are connected?

An associate of mine advised his wife was requested to download something on her phone and it cleaned out his bank account yesterday when I called him. He advised he was at the Sheriff's office.
making a complaint. I would be remiss if I did not post relevant information.

Summary I believe we are all gullible? Would that be a fair statement? That really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I am sure nobody else likes the sound of it!
I had one to catch me before. It only cost me $50.00. I believe the most important thing is to realize we are all gullible? It's sad!
That is why I stated above: I would be remiss if I did not post relevant information.
I know when I read about others that were gullible it makes me immediately feel sorry for them and then I realize it could have just as easily happened to me.

His conflicted views of our government and how canada is so much better. With CuNN tidbits tossed in. Is really getting old. I mostly ignore him anymore. Though occasionally he sucks me in with stuff so off base I have to reply. 😵😞😠

I Ignore his Rhetoric and Personal Opinions for our country daily........and personally feel much better for doing so. Folks such as this aren't worth the time getting upset, or taking the time to reply. When we get upset and stirred up, they win. They have done and caused what they set out to do. Simply not worth my time. The way I see it, "American Patriots don't need his 'Stinkin' Opinions"!

Email address can be Tony, passwords NO. So don't reply to emails asking for your password for confirmation or anything like that and you'll be safe. And who knows who is real and who is AI?😉

Never give Any information unless you contacted them. Like Dr's. Your bank. Credit card companies. And so on.
And don't fall for gas and electric distributors.
Their selling wholesale power and gas.
Their Not part of the company that's attached to your home. You will pay a wheeling charge running their power or gas to your home plus your regular utility bill.

And don't fall for gas and electric distributors.

Their Not part of the company that's attached to your home. You will pay a wheeling charge running their power or gas to your home plus your regular utility bill.

Problem is when your county or township falls for it an enters a collective agreement to switch everyone’s power/gas distributor - whether you want it or not. You have to call in and get a confirmation number to not be switched against your will. Vaguely reminds me of the slamming scams during the phone wars.

Recently I have seen an uptick of trolling and trashing one another. There's enough of that on social media. This forum is intended as an escape to a great hobby. With that being said, if I see anymore name calling, trolling or just plain nastiness, you'll be receiving a 2 day ban. I'm sorry it's come to this, but I've grown weary of all the tickets that keep coming in. All we ask is that you all be good to one another. Does this mean that you all can't have a debate? Not at all, just keep a cool head and debate like the intelligent people we know you are.

I hate to say this but I wish you'd get rid of all the political stuff. This is a metal detecting site and that's why I come here to read. Every day when I check in for 'Whats new' I see almost 50% comments about some political issue. There are plenty of other social media places to debate political issues. Probably fall on deaf ears but just wanted to put it out there,

While we've had an Issue here and there... The Moderators Are doing a fine job of staying on top of things... I don't agree with everything I see and read... If I'm not liking it... I move on... If It gets regulated and clipped too hard... The board membership will drop off... Everything seems to be busier here now than it has been for a spell... There's more information on mostly anything I'm interested in constantly coming through this board... This place is a fast moving wagon... And a wild ride.... Why would I go anywhere else...
