Some trick and tips with MAKRO KRUZER

Often I have iron with VDI in the high 90s (and not silver or anything else), so I'm notching out everything above 95.

If the detector is very noisy f.e. you are not in 3 tone mode or there is EMI, try first to shift frequency (options: frequency and push select). If this is not working go back to 3 tone mode with high gain. I'm not a fan of lowering the gain, 94 is my default.

The pinpointer function is very helpful if you know how to use it. You get depth information, size of objects and so on...

Anything above 95 is iron wrap-around.

The 3-tone mode is unique, gain @ 89 or less has an ultra fast recovery speed, at the cost of depth.

Brian - You're correct about the depth loss at the 89 or less on the gain. I think it's about 40 - 50% less using 89 verses 99 gain.

It's a significant loss, but it runs well in EMI infested sites, and for ultra sea of nail sites, it works pretty well. If EMI isn't an issue, I'll always default to 4-TONE on the MMK, it's as fast as a F75 in 4-TONE without sacrificing depth and it's a better unmasker then the F75 as well.
