Someone asked about separation with the new Pro coil

Today at work I got to talking to the home owner about Detecting. One thing led to another and I told him there's coins every where you go. Even in your yard over there. And I gestured toward a small patch of dirt that was walked down so no grass grew there.
Well he challenged me on that one so I got the SE out of the truck and fired it up with no headphones so he could hear it. Should have seen the look on his face. I walked over and in no time I got a signal. First it said Dime, then jumped to quarter, then back and forth. I said Dime then quarter then I said it must be a piece of flashing or something like that. He said dig it. So I got my stuff and started digging. I reached in the hole and between my figures I saw silver and I said out loud "My f#####g heart" It was a 1944 Washington. He plucked it right out of my hand. I looked at the ground and said to myself, there's more.
I looked at him and said there's a Mercury dime in there too. And I'll be danged if there wasn't. In the same hole about 5 inches deep was a 1944 quarter and a 1936 Mercury Dime.
You tell me this coil doesn't give good separation.
BTW. I never did get to hold either coin.

He went in the basement and got his Fathers 20 yr old Minelab Sov.and asked me to take it to the shop and see if it could be fixed.

Heh...been there, done that, Bob. I got permission to hunt an old house once, and the owner said "mind if I watch, I've always been curious about those things?". Well, what can you say to that but "Sure!".

The very first coin I found was a Barber quarter after about a minute of hunting. He said wow, can I look at that? I handed it over, then he said "I think I'll keep this". I said, 'well, gotta be going' and left after about 2 minutes total there. I didn't especially like the prospect of digging nice old coins and handing all of them over after investing in a detector and doing all the work!

That does seem like good separation. Got my new coil this morning and I thought I get a little after work but it's raining...Soon Soon.GR
