Some of us are old enough to remember when the term "gay" was an accurate description of the way we feel about detecting.

As in lighthearted and carefree.:detecting:

Using the term gay to describe something you don't like seems really juvenile, not to mention homophobic.:thumbdown:
 
I never have and never will join Facebook. I mean I do not know how to "Farm", so I can't be a member, Beale.
 
:usaflag:I'm in Minnesota and I have family on the east coast. I use Facebook to keep in touch with them and I have found some friends whom I had'nt heard from or seen in over 20 years. I agree that the whole "farmville" and other odd games on there are a waste of time, but I would'nt go so far as to say Facebook is "gay". We would just be stooping to her level by saying that. I use it for contact purposes, and I have also gained permission from a dozen landowners to coin-hunt on their properties....it's works pretty good for me..peace..over and out!
 
Well, ya know, some folks are welcome around the evening campfire to share the freshly brewed coffee and listen to the tall tales of hunts and finds of the day, and others can take a flying flip~! :beers:

Ditto, I use it to keep in touch with family all over the country. I have a brother in law in Iowa and one in Florida that are both into MDing and I like to post my finds on there for them to see. It's especially fun to rub it in to my BIL in Iowa when I'm finding silver in January and February and he is looking at snow.
 
Awww facebook is ok - you guys sound like the same folks that said Elvis was the devil or K.I.S.S. meant Knights in Service of Satan. Hahaha - just something new - not bad. I found that group riotously funny.
 
I just noticed the fan club creator has taken her photo down and skipped being the administrator of the site.
I suspect she got frightened off by people power.
 
I just now created a "Fan Club" called "Dirt Fishin".... Join it and start postin your finds... Listed under History as well...
 
Actually if you look through the photos and read the caption you will notice that whoever this is is kind of priding on their hobby and that someone must have insulted them enough to change their profile title.
