Something in IRON

A while ago searching on my favourite Roman area in the UK. I found this Iron Hippo Sandal. They were a temporary horse shoe tied to the horse hoof when protection was required.THey are not a common find by detectorists here as many do not bother to recover items of iron. In my case on this field I go for larger iron.

That is a really neat find. What do the ones made for the rear hoofs look like?
