Something that Happened yesterday

Yesterday morning before the cold front came in I was hunting a park in the 3 ward ( upper low class area of Houston). I had dug two new match box cars an had them in my bag.

A young black woman with two kids a girl maybe 6 an a boy 4 came in to the park. They set down at a picnic table at said a short prayer an started eating Breakfest. After a little bit of time I work my way over to the far end of the table and the little guy looked up at me an smiled. I lay ed the cars down on the end table an smile back at him then walked away.

He picked them up one in each hand and hugged them to his heart. "Mommy Mommy Look what Santa gave me" I heard him say. The woman told me to wait right there. I said to Myself I'm in trouble now. She walked up Hugged My Neck with a great/ smile and whispered May God Bless You.

A little later a young man meet them. The man an woman chatted a few minutes from about 5 feet a part. The man and kids walked off down the street one way and the woman the other.

I was wearing a red wind breaker an red & white knit cap.

Thank you, Norman, for the inspiring story that is a blessing to me! I love it when in some small ways we can help each other and give cheer to others, especially, at Christmas time and then all year long! Also, welcome to the CMD Forum and hope you post often! May God Bless you and your loved ones, always! Amen! Betty
