I went down a couple hours ago to a small gas station out here in the country to fuel up as I will be out doing a little plowing in the morning.
I heard the gal behind the counter (whom I know) say that she hated history in school. The fella she was talking to said I just hated school and then he left.
I told here I hated history in school, but love it now! To shorten the story, I was there almost an hour talking treasure hunting and history of our area. I now get to search her pre 1873 yard, I get to go look for her husbands $1k plus platinum wedding band near his deer stand, and I am pretty sure this will lead to more old yards too! :) We talked history and I gave her a copy of an 1873 plat map that showed her house on it! Man did she love that! I didn't even have to ask about her yard, she just tossed it to me! How cool is that! :)

Yep, ya got the gift of gab and pays to know your history! Go Getter.....go get dem goodies! God Bless! Betty
