Sometimes it only takes 1 coin to really make it a good hunt...

No popping coins on this hunt. They were all deeper (4" plus) than I would have liked. I found the first 2 quarters on top of the grass. Earring looks home made. The merc came up just when I wanted to go home but I finished the section I was working on and than went home... I thought I would find another silver for sure. But that didn't happen and I went home really tired.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Trails....Z

Hmmm..found a new spot eh? Good job! That's the second merc you've got this month, and a good looking one to boot!:clapping:
Mud

I really like digging those merc's. They are such neat coins.
Mud this park is very small and new. I don't think it is 10 years old. I just never stopped because people just lay in the sun there. Never a lot of people. Two girls were there when I was detecting. No one else.
Jim I am down on the number of hunts getting done this year. I must be 20-30 hunts short. It probably will not be a record setting hunting season for me this year. I like to get out and detect. That's it... Thanks for kind words.... Happy Trails.....Z

Hi Z! Love the Merc, you just can't go wrong finding silver, it always makes the hunt worthwhile! Why is it that the silver always shows up right when you are getting ready to leave!?!?! I'll be out for a few hours, then start detecting back towards the car, and BANG, silver! (plus two more hours of hunting now that I'm the top of a silver mine!) :detecting:

Love this hobby!!!!

Pony

Pony sometimes I feel like walking to the end of the field with the detector off and say, it is time to go home. Turn the detector on and head for the car. I could miss all the walking and digging and just find the good stuff heading home. Thanks....Z

Thanks Curt it is just good to be detecting again. Season really late this year so hope it will go into Feb to make up for lost days. Thanks for kind words. Happy Trails....Z
