sony noise cancel headphones?

New member
I was thinking on buying some Noise Cancel headphones for 65$.....I have the adapter. Has anyone tried them. I have my Koss but too bulky and honestly I cant hear faint sounds with them. the plug has a short in them. I may get some headphones in the future like "grey ghost" or something but dont know if its just that Im tone Deaf or just so new to my Etrac that I cant hear the faint sounds. I have gone to the ear doctor and the test that concluded that at 47 , i have the ears of someone 65...must have been all the guns I shot when I was young..Stupid!! I run mostly on the program default.....is there any adjustments that someone would recommend in audio.. yes I have the Andy Book but still do not understand Gain and the other stuff in Layman terms.

Also---How do you get programs on Etrac exchange, where do you find other peoples programs that are shared.

Hi CanadaDig,
Regarding noise cancelling headsets, I use the Bose QuietComfort 2 acoustic noise cancelling headset--it is very light and comfortable with excellent sound qualities, but not especially suited for wet weather. I don't know much about the Sony headset, but I imagine it would be a quality product based on other Sony products I've experienced. My audio adjustments to the Etrac include hunting in multitone with a normal response; the threshold level set just high enough to faintly hear it in the background; and the volume limit & gain set at or near the highest level (due to my hearing deficit). This is what works best for me, but your preferences may be different--try different settings to see what works best for you.
