Sorry guys for leaking the release would be the 18th I got that info from a well anyway ,I understood it to be a release now I find out there is still a testing phase to be done. I am very sorry getting everyones hope up and I learned a VERY valuable lesson from this. Im very disappointed to say the least. Im not in the rumor business and all I have is my word ,it really upsets me. To the point if it wasnt the best relic machine for what I do I would sell it and buy another brand at this time I know of no other that can beat it so I will stay where im at for the time being. very very upset sorry for getting your hopes up you can believe when I posted the post about sept 18th I believed it was true.

No worries Calabash. I don't think you owe any apologies. Even if you had been correct then, they can change the date (they've done it before). I still say I'd rather have it right than fast, but I work in corporate America and most of the time the bosses would pick fast over right (and blame you when it doesn't work while hogging the credit when it does) so to me it's refreshing to see a company that won't throw unfinished garbage out there. That would only frustrate the customers. You can tell they are a European company by the way they look long term instead of grabbing as much $$$ as they can right this minute to keep the greedy investors happy. I'd wait another year to have it right instead of have buggy junk right this second. The machine works great as is and not having this update does not impede me in any way from enjoying the machine today, so getting a free update with more features is a great bonus.

Anyway, I don't think you owe anyone an apology guy and keep those videos coming I love them!

Well Martygene, I don't think I'd go that far and understand the frustration, because I saw this initialy as a spoiler alert, I just didn't use the words. Instead I saw it as a me first commemt and everyone jumped on me like a duck on a June bug. They said the remark was snarky. So what, I didn't want a spoiler alert because I am patient and willing to wait because XP has said they will release when all is ready. He had no right to jump in and get peoples hopes up and has learned it now. So it's another few months yet. Hoping the wait is well worth it. I hope u keep it cause at 74 I just don't want to go back to swinging anything heavier.

No worries Calabash. It seems the they jumped the gun the update is free so not a big deal a few things they changed not sure if they will make a difference. 2.5 on reactivity may give the unit less of a chopped sound on the tones. But again it's free so I don't think it will make a big difference until its tested and we read reviews. The new coil won't help me and the pintopinter is a nice idea but unless it can give me a tone for iron when digging square nails and a good tone for other targets it is not going to make big difference to me. I'll wait as I said before for the impact and see what they create

It will happen when it happens, and do not worry Calabash. Your a dirt digger just like the rest of us. If they released the update with problems, most of us would really be grumbling.
I am still learning this machine and if it happens tomorrow or next year I will always have something to look forward too.

I think most of us read that as a in fun sarcastic snark not meant to hurt and just in fun.

As for XP and all the hype about the release It states on their flyer that "Over 150 XP prizes including 10 XP Deus metal detectors and 20 NEW XP pin pointers"
So it would seem that the pin pointer will be available after the rally.

Calabash I know how we can get caught up in the roll rock slide. Don't let it mess with you.
XP has done this before and it is just a waiting game for the true release.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Rumors are just that no mater what the source.
When the distributers have them in hand to sell THAT is the release date.

Why be hard on yourself. You were only repeating what people that are supposed to be in the know have been saying on the internet the past few months. I know that Gary B. said a while back that the coil was on schedule to be released in Sept. so it's not yours or anyone's fault that XP has delayed the release. Keep making your videos because I've learned a lot about the Deus by watching them.

Don't worry, Calabash. Many of us were pretty much certain it would be released this weekend. And not necessarily because of you. I deduced as much after seeing the flyer for the XP rally.

But hey, even though it's not released at this moment, at least we got some damn good info on the new products. And personally, I'm sitting here drooling over this new pinpointer. I'm sure all the other pinpointer manufacturers are sweating right about now, lol.
