Looks like you guys are going to get hammered pretty good. Should make for some real interesting hunting. Don't know what to expect down here in Charleston but I heard we might get some erosion. I'm charging up just in case. Good luck, hope it churns up some great finds. --Jerry

LOL ... got to love Joe Bastardi. Brings back memories of college. Back then, Joe predicted snow for pretty much any low pressure system from September through April in good old State College, PA.

Hope Ida and the combined systems do some beach clearing for all who can make it out.

Have a son's out of town concert (right in the middles of Joe's predicted snow belt) on Sunday. Maybe I can get near a beach on Saturday if the storm has moved up the coast enough by then.
Cheers,
tvr

[size=large]BDA has been resurrected . Where have you been hiding all this time? Nice to see you back again.

I was busy with the company I partnered into for the past year and it got me away from surf pirating. I've been busy on another forum as well but that suffered too, the business deal fell apart when my partner got sick and we had to sell the company. Since then it has been immigration troubles just staying in Bermuda.
HOWEVER, I am still standing and it is all part of the adventure!:crylol: I did manage to find a bit of loot on those few occasions that I was able to get out. I have done a return to a young bride of both her wedding band and engagement ring lost on the trashiest beach I have ever hunted. I have also found a 48 year old wedding band that I am tracking down the owner of, so that will give me two returns for the year.

As a word of advice to all my pirate mates - Hang on to your gold! The price is going no where but up for the next 6 months at least. If you do have to cash in try to take some of it in gold bars or coins.

Cheers All,

BDA

good Job on the returns BDA....Inside Line on the Gold........1500 by next summer, joe

I agree completely, except that I figure it will hit $1,500/oz by April. I'll cash in some of my loot but I won't be taking paper money as payment - Gold or Silver is all I want in exchange.
