Any ideas where I might acquire a sharp, 8 to 10" probe for locating targets prior to cutting a plug?

Modify a screw driver, you can make it as sharp or as dull as you want it.

I lost my garrett the other day and thought no problem I will just buy a new one. Well the Garrett is no longer available from any place that I searched. And I searched far and wide. I have tried some of the cheaper ones and truly was not favorably impressed. So I went to the big auction site and bought one made by Wilcox who makes quality items.
