South Texas Public Square Hunt

Searched an old small town public square across the street from the courthouse while I was working out of town last week. Found a 1944 Mercury, 1945 silver nickel, 7 Wheats from 1937 to 1958, and a bunch of clad. The lead ball is pretty large. I thought it might be a fishing weight, but there's no hole through it. Found an early Great Seal button, Waterbury Scovill Mf'g Co. The shotgun shells are U.M.C.CO. NEW CLUB and Winchester 12Ga. Also the compact and 22 "U" shell. The older stuff was at least 6" deep, so I'm sure there are older relics that are deeper since the park dates back to 1883. Started out with a 10"x12" SEF, but had better results with a 6" Excelerator in all the trash.
