I fancy doing some beach detecting this summer and have heard this detector is very good for this type of detecting. I have a chance to buy an Elite but just wondered if I should wait a while and buy a GT and wondered which you thought is the best performer on the beach. Alos has anybody got an good suggestions for setting it up. I am most grateful for any advice. Thanks.
 
you'll get very good performance with the Elite. The performance of the 2 are very similar. The Elite is a fantastic beach machine. I'm to the point where I'll be heading to the beach. The Elite hits very well on gold and deep silver.
 
I have used GTs and find the Elite I currently use gets the job done.They are very close in performance,I think you will be happy with this Sovereign. HH Ron
 
Thanks for the info i will go ahead and buy the elite,any one got any good starter settings for the wet sand for a novice like me.thanks.
