Sovereign GT Meter Mod

Joe Patrick has finished my GT and I should have it by early next week and I will post a pic of it in my Tamrac bag. The pic below shows my GT with the meter installed in place of the speaker grill. It's going to be 71 degrees here today in Southern California, a truly beautiful day!

I am working on mounting an S-1 Probe on my straight rod with the box in front of my grip and the probe right under my arm cuff. In fact, it will just snap into a clip that I made that holds the arm cuff on too. I am right handed, so, I will flip the toggle with my right index finger, and grab the probe with my left hand and I am in business! I'll post some pics of my whole setup when I get the first GT back, hopefully by this weekend. i won't use the probe too much at the beach, but I may try out the setup there just because it's easier dirt fishing. I have been hip-mounting for many years, but this new setup is really exciting! The connections are secured and I can use the meter if I want and it is sure alot easier to change settings on the fly. I think modifying our equipment is as much fun as digging up the good stuff! Well, almost, a diamond ring is a pretty great rush too!

I really like the looks of that! Soon as the money is available I will have one of my Sovs done like that. Would appreciate a full, unbiased report on it's performance.
