Sovereign GT tone modification

New member
The old links I have for the GT do not work anymore. Does any have any information on which pot is which when trying to adjust the tones on a Sov GT?

Heres a photo of the pots if it helps

how does one adjust a pot? A simple turn of a screwdriver? I'm very interested... and why would you make this adjustment?
Thanks

Yes just a slight turn. It brings all the tones "up" I like the tones a bit higher than how they are set stock. I take a quarter and raise it up until it hits a point I like and then check the entire range. Headphones can also affect tones. I have a set of black widows and they sound horrible on the GT but are great on the etrac. I use the sunray on the GT with the tones up I would say 1/4 of a turn or maybe a bit higher. It also makes the tones come closer to the sound of the way my etrac sounds. the low end growl is also better imho

I like the GT tones but I'm used to a coin signal being slightly higher in pitch with all my years on the QXT Pro. Really grabs your attention. Anybody adjust the tones for this reason and does it seem to help? I guess I could mark the factory position on the pot and then play with it. Some people have better hearing at higher tones than others, so I would guess adjusting this down or up could put the scale of tones more into what you are best at hearing.
