It was Dec 31, 2012. I purchased mine in August and was very disappointed that they quit making the machine. Parts for the Detector will soon be in short supply.

Which model do you mean, there were multiple models of Sovereign. The only ones Minelab still supports is the Sov Elite and Sov GT.
They stopped making the Sov GT in March of 2013 and support for it will end in March of 2020. It was a great detector, in fact I still own a Sov GT.
