Sovereign XS 2a-Pro Rod Mod=HELP

I've got an XS 2a Pro (near new) cause it's sooooo darn heavy. Like swinging a sledge hammer (over handed) What kind of Whites Shaft were people using to correct this?? Email or PM me PLease.

One of the Whites shaft I used was a hip mount kit for the XLT is you got the upper rod and I believe I had to drill some holes for the lower shaft to fit. The last one I used that really made the Sovereign feel nice and light as it was well balanced was a shaft that that was made by a guy out West for David at Dixie detectors that is the best I have seen.
To get by if you haven't tried it yet was to mount the control box under the arm cuff on the stock shaft as it make it better balanced and it does feel lighter.

Some like a straight shaft and others the original..Use a whites armrest with a velcro strap and this way you will be able to move the box farther back on the stock set up..Put some stickons similiar to what they use for chairs under the box and your good to go..Cheap way to go if you like the stock shaft..Control box holder can be drilled out and riveted farther back. Makes a world of difference ergonically and weight wise..Nice setup for those that prefer the stock rod instead of a straight rod...

Why not just hip mount it. I been hip mounting most detectors I ever had and it makes hunting way easier. Swing all day. I even converted a DMC 11 to a hip mount and it worked out fine. The Sovereign series is one of the best to hip mount and it even comes with the bag for the box.
