Amazing find and great video! I love your videos and I must say, this coin couldn't have been found by a nicer guy. Now if only I could find some Spanish silver in Wisconsin. Cheers and HH.

Not much going out of focus.
Thanks

Dennis, I film with the Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera. It has a very nice macro mode for close-ups. It also takes pictures and comes with great (and easy to use) video editing software. In the past I have ruined two other digital cameras...the kind with the telescoping lens. They both had crappy macro modes and the lenses quit working on both. This Zi6 is an excellent camera for filming hunts out in the field. It has internal lenses and I've been using it for about a year with absolutely no problems.

Spanish silver Dan....it's always a heart stopper when you can find one of those. Congratulations for a great job digging that baby up in Ohio. You are on top of your game.

We've got them here on the east coast in the pristine areas that haven't been detected yet.

My colonial era hunt program, enthusiastically approved by the Historical Society, should put everyone in the right spots to be in a position to find one of those for themselves.
We just met Tuesday and they are offering up lots of private estates and historical sites for the exclusive Member Only hunts besides the ploughed farm sites...
The Halsey House is one of the sites we will have to hunt on - check it out: http://colonial-america.suite101.com/article.cfm/new_yorks_oldest_frame_house

The "Artifact Detecting Team" will kick off in early October.
