Spring:detecting:

Great Republic

Well spring is here and it's about time.
I have managed to get out for three short hunts.
The first hunt was 30 min. at an old school and I got 4 wheats and the first one and the first coin of the season is a 1909 VDB. The others are 44,40 and 50.
The next hunt is at a park that I don't go to much because of all the iron and hot rock and junk. I decided to stop for a half hour and use Bryce's settings.
The shinny Merc (1935) is from that hunt. Sorry for the funky pics but my good camera is in for repair. These shots are from my cell phone.
The last hunt was early this morning. I had to walk for ten min. to get to this farm field that I could not hunt last spring because there was to much brush and dead grass.
They cleared the field at some point and now it was smooth and clear. I walked through the entrance, turned on the SE, took ten steps and got a nice, sharp silver hit.
I moved my coil to the right and there on top of the ground sat a 1926 Merc. hummm. Good start. 40 min. later out pops the 1747 king George II half penny.
Goin back in the morning.
I'll try to get better pics of the half penny.
Thanks for looking...GR
