Spring Detectival 2019

First off I would like to thank Mark and Karen Becher and all involved for putting together a great event once again, truly amazing seeing that gold and silver hoard come up and hearing the cheers that echoed around the valley when each single gold noble saw the light of day, something I will never forget, Congratulations to the finders on that one truly.

As for me I had the smallest buckle I’ve ever found pop up in the middle of a field that many a detectorist must of walked over during the course of day one and half of day two, it was tucked up next to some iron, but gave a sweet little signal and around four inches down.

I dug a huge amount of signals over the course of the two days that you can see in the photos, forget it’s a lot of trash.. but instead think of what this Vista Gold Gain would of found on one of your own productive permission like it’s done many times for me so far, but unfortunately this time around my coil never passed any silver or gold, but all in all it was a great event and sure was nice to meet some old and new faces down at Henley-on-Thames.

Hope you’ll had a great weekend whatever you was doing :0)

Sounds like a really fun time! I'd like to make it to one of those events at some point.

Really are good fun, camping or hotel and plenty of stalls and food and fun, well worth the trip combined with some sight seeing

"Absolutely amazing how so many bits of metal and tiny ones too are in the ground! If you were to add up the weight of all the metal found in the UK thus far, what could you build with it?
Another 'Eiffel Tower' perhaps? Ten of them???"
