We need to remember that not all silversmiths put a stamp on things they make - even tho they are gold or silver. Here's my 14K rings that I made. At the time I didnt have the money to buy a 14K stamp so they are unmarked. I did make them out of other gold things that I had detected. Also, the cross is silver that I detected .

there's 2 kinds - straight ones and ones with a curve in the shaft to stamp after the ring is made. Last time I checked - about 20 years ago - they were 25-30 bucks. steve
