Staying cool but flowers and lawns are dying for lack of rain and the heat....106 degrees right now! Supposed to be 99 Sunday and chance of storms...h

We got hit by a thunderstorm last night tree limbs everywhere but we got rain, I hope ya get the rain also!

About the same here, Ma. We did get a storm and a LITTLE BIT of rain last night but we will have drought conditions until we get some significant rainfall. It was only around 100 here today! A real cold snap! I hear that we might end up with some low 90's or maybe even high 80's next week. That will be a welcome relief. Typical Alabama weather - HOT. :hot: Hope you get some relief and some rain, too! Hope we do, too.

Lisa

Seen a bank today that said 109! :hot::surprised::stretcher:
Everything is burt to a crisp around here. Work has dried up per say. :thumb down:
Cooler temps are coming. :thumb up:

Hi Ma, Glad to hear you're still doing okay. Like Mike says, it's been extremely hot here in west Michigan. Our lawns here @ Coventry Woods are green but only because the company decided to protect their investment. The birds and critters are doing well here, too, because I feed and water them everyday and, in this heat, they need it more than we do. Speaking of which, it's almost time to head outside and fill the bird bath with some fresh cool water. You stay inside and keep cool too Ma. Hope everyone here has a great day, in the Lord.

are dying due to the heat - no matter how much we water them. It sure makes Nancy discouraged. We are also in the upper 90's with a 105 thrown in sometimes. Stay cool and do what you can, Steve in so az

also animals need to be insde or in a cool place and out of the sun and heat! Water dishes would get mighty hot if not refreshed often with cold water! Hope you both stay cool but hope you stay on fire finding those curb strip coins!  Ma

I think everyone is being touched by this drought, Ma. No amount of watering here could possibly offset the heat. We have had less than 1/10 of rain in 9 weeks. The temp today was 107 and we have shattered records daily for the last week. Todays record-breaking heat rivaled a similar summer in 1934...eep! Our lawn and garden are long gone. Our chicken and dogs have been getting ice cubes in their bowls quite often. Very hard to get any relief. Still in the low 90's out and we are nearing midnight. Sheesh!
