An excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or tool making knowledge. Most of the production can be jobbed out to local manufacturers.

I am selling part or all. These are solid products with booming sales (documented) that I have manufactured and sold for many years. This is not a get rich dream scam.

These products can be manufactured and sold from any location in the USA. Some can be done on a part time basic while you keep working your existing job or business.

Thats very interesting.....great brand recognition and all that...but with a limited market and mature clientele, in a 'possibly declining' and prone to 'rip off' industry...a guy would have to see the numbers and the deal..It might make for a good base outfit to roll out a lot of other symbiotic products under...or for a small detector dealer with a few skills to take on and add to their quivver of products...
Its a great scoop...

Actually, they should be posting this on as many detecting forums as possible, not on CL...theres a lot of guys out here that understand scoops and mfg that may have the desire and money to get involved...we've all built scoops at least once before stepping up to the right tool!...

I would be extremely leery of an advertisement on Craigslist for this Company or any decent size company. One would think that that are far better places to place a for sale sign for a Business.

If its a profitable business, why sell it? Or part of it???.........and only for a $....?
If this is legit, basically all you're buying is the name or this person is actually looking for someone to do the builds and share the profits.
Doesn't pass the smell test!

To start fabricating these things profitably, one would already have the equipment to do so. Jobbing most or all of it out IMO is too expensive for any kind of profit margin.

Never used a scoop but i assume all scoops are made out of aluminum. For me, I'd have to buy an expensive TIG welder, specialized aluminum sheet stock, sheet metal brakes, shears, etc. I'll pass.

A lot of companies advertise for sale on CL for $1...just to get the post up and hide the real price...so no big deal there...a fellow would have to call to get the straight skinny...people sell businesses for a lot of reasons, divorce, death, health, other opportunities...

It seems like a well written and accurate post, most of the fab can be subbed out like mentioned, theres a lot of small shops with a laser. welder and and break that would take this on just to fill a few holes and keep their main jobs going...machines are cheap as hell right now as you can imagine, less than scrap value in a lot of instances...since this Country basically gave away our mfg capability...Somebody should call out of curiosity...
