steel bottle cap problems on my F75, will a small coil help?

I read this post on one of the other forums and had to smile:devil: I wanted to reply that an E-Trac was the best solution to his problem but refrained:angel: Fisher and their users blame it on the DD coil and I wondered how many crown caps are fellow E-Trac users digging because of our DD coils,Ray.

If you do a search on my past post. I oo used with succsess a F75. One of the many reasons i gave it up and got an ET was Bottle/screw caps. No matter what they all sound/ID like quarters. That and wheat/memorials sounding/ID like silver dimes. Its a great machine but belongs in the open fields and deep woods void of modern trash.

I got that machine after using my XS for several years and was surprised to find out that they could be a problem for modern detectors.

After useing Minelabs for years (from the old XS on)----I never realized there were so many crowncaps (steel bottle caps) in THE WORLD till I tried 3 or 4 other "brand name" detectors with DD coils.-----I own & use the F-75 LTD and have learned a few tricks on it & steel bottle caps.---Can identify them with it (for the most part). :)-----BUT, there is absolutely no better detector IN THE WORLD than the Etrac for getting you deep, difficult silver & coppers.----Don't you wish I would quit beating around the bush & speak my mind?? -----Yes it's true, the Explorers/Etrac also use DD coils, however, you just don't have that pain in the butt problem with steel bottle caps that (some) others do.-----I have several other detectors that I really enjoy useing from time to time but the Minelabs will ALWAYS be my "big gun".----Goin huntin! -------------Del
