Stereo Mixed Mode

Not to sound dumb, but I have been a V3i user since 2011. And I have found lots of good stuff but my area in Michigan has been hammered. Once I started using Magics program with my modified tones, this is what ive stuck with. Cause it works. Today I was experimenting with stereo mixed mode. I was wondering if someone could explain the benifits of hearing the iron as a tone. And can you access different tones while not in discrimination mode. I really like and have become comfortable with hearing iron as a click while good stuff has better tones. Just wondering if someone could elaborate on this to help me weed out some keepers.

Thanks

Troy

Mixed mode and Stereo mixed mode are used to see deeper. All metal has no filtering and is deeper than the discrimination mode. I use them in open space. They are very busy in trashy areas.
