It's a cuff link...I think, or most of one.
It seems the fancy piece that shows through the shirt cuff is gone, I can't think of anything else it could be.
The important part is here, the part that says sterling.
It counts, partial jewelry or not.
This is not gold but it will hold me over till that metal shows up which I hope is sooner than later.
