sterling ring and naughty token (G-rated photo)

Hunted a couple hours Friday morning in the woods at a park. I concentrated on higher conductive signals because of all the trash here. Only three coins, all cents. Thought I had a silver quarter, but it was this x-rated token made of aluminum. Then had another cent signal, but found the sterling ring with a stone. Not much color to the stone, maybe amethyst or smoky quartz? I thought it was odd how the stone was mounted, but the wife said that the stone has rotated in the setting. This ring is marked with the Uncas mark ("U" with an arrow).

Interesting finds Doug.
It does appear the stone is no longer set correctly. It looks canted in the photo.

Yes, Mike, it's rotated 90 degrees. I'm pretty sure I didn't do that since the ring was in a clod of dirt when I dug it.
