Snow and ice. Heating bills. The flu and covid, sinus infections, fun for everyone...... I've still got all of my metal detecting equipment, and I'm hoping and praying to get out in the field and the H2O this year for some swingin'! S'posed to be near 70 next week, we need it.............. :fisher: :garrett: :razz::wave:Just down the street from me is a beach on Lake Michigan called Lloyd's Landing, which was a HUGELY popular gathering spot starting in the early 1800's; it was a major stopping point: Steam ships, lumbering crews, public beaches, rich folks from Chicago and points west coming here. I've talked to older folks that told me the likes of Mr. Alphonse Capone and the Purple Gang from the 20's/30's summered in this area, to get away from 'the heat'! Unconfirmed rumors of 'goodies' being hidden by them in this area exist. Lake Michigan awaits. It's only around (MAYBE) 40 F right now, but: summer's coming. I was told a story by a guy about 'Uncle Al from Chicago' stashing a bunch of diamonds hereabouts. Does anyone offer a DIAMOND DETECTOR?':wiggle:
