Still trying to learn my garrett

Still trying to figure out my garrett. It is an older model master hunter deepseeker ADS III. I have the instructions, but really don't understand how to use it in TR Discriminate or Ground Cancel mode. Can anyone kind of simplify it for me. I am getting better at figuring the thing out, but want to do it right. I have found numerous items, but I am probably missing alot. I guess it takes time and patience.

Keep practicing. Try running various targets under the coil at different levels of discrimination.

Crikey a garrett deepseeker Noa might be able to help he may have used one on the ark . seriously though do google search for your model and there are quite a few bits of info on the old girls.

just remember. th t/r mode will not cancel the ground. t/r is mosttly used for tight places where you cant swing the coil. its a non motion mode. also used where there is no or very little ground interference. xtra depth will occur if the ground is stable in tr mode

Thanks for the input. I getting better at it. This is one my father in law used before he passed away. He just had it through a complete workover by Garrett. Works great, but will take me time to fine tune it, or fine tune me. Will use it just because it was his, but it is not my primary detector. Thanks again.
