I know this is an oldie but goodie. A bit bulky, & no mapping or anything. But I get pretty quick responce & it's pretty good under canopy. I really have no desire to "upgrade" because I know this unit like the back of my hand & it's served me very well. I believe it only holds 200 waypoints & I'm up over 160 now :surrender: Also, I think it may be on it's last legs as the time stamp does not work anymore. It thinks it's NOV. 1924.... :surprised:
I think I may be taking a chance if it wipes out when I'm miles from the car.....I have just backed up all my numbers just in case she dies. I'm thinking maybe I can find another on E-Bay, or maybe another Lowrance with similar operation? Re-learning a new brand from scratch is not the way I wanna go.....thanx, Bill

Hmm, the date should be OK once the unit locks to the satellites.
What will more than likely go in the unit is it's backup battery. It supposed to last up to 10 years but the "up to" is the key word - they guarantee that it will not last longer than 10 years and it may die much sooner.
If you get a basic iFinder (they are cheap) the learning curve should be very short for you - it's a unit very different from GN12 but the menu layout / logis is still *Lowrance style*
