Stock coil or 5 X 10" DD coil for trashy areas?

Hi there,
I am interested in coin shooting around trashy campsites up here in Idaho. I have the stock 7.5 kHz coil and the 5 by 10" DD 18.75 KHz coil for my x-terra 70. I am curious which coil will work best to find coins in areas heavily infested with aluminum? Thanks!

While the 5 by 10" DD 18.75 KHz is more sensitive to aluminum, it is a DD type of coil with a signal down the center line, heel to toe, and will be better in trash.

Thank you Barnacle Bill, I really appreciate your experience!

Sooner or later I believe I will purchase the 6", 7 KHz DD coil. I am thinking that is a good coil to hunt coins among trash?

Thank You!
Swayne

On the six inchers, the 7.5khz is a concentric & the 18.75khz is a DD.

Thank you for clarifying that for me because on the minelab site right under the x-terra 705, concentric 7.5 Khz 6" coil they have a paragraph about it's DD design. Must be misplaced.I am new to the sport and I have not become familir with all the technical stuff yet however I sure am learing from the forum.

I really appreciate that Barnacle Bill!

Thanks!
