Stock Slimline coil question

Southwind

Well-known member
I see the stock 10.5 Slimline is listed as a DD coil, Does that mean it detects the full length of the coil to depth with a narrow width pattern?

The reason I ask is for being a DD coil the pinpointing seems to be right on center.

Think of a 10 1/2 inch long 2x4 piece of lumber running from the front to the back. That mental image has always helped me narrow the view(size) of the coil in my mind.
