Sorry to hear that Fred. It's supposed to very nice here today. I have to take my Daughter up in the mountains to have her senior pics done this morning. She wants to take them while snowshoeing so am taking her and the photographer and one of her friends up. Once we get back I hope to get out and do some detecting.

Almost sound like i here about Colorado though i never been there i here it warm at the bottom and you can go into the mountains ski and come down and it in the 70s.Is snow shoeing is that like putting tennis rackets on your feet or more like cross country skiing?Hope you have a nice day post some pics if you go hunting at least i know someone got out.

I think you are about 45 minutes away we just caught the tail end 3 to 4 inches of snow but man was the wind a howling last night picked up my cheap lawn furniture and tossed it in the neighbors yard.cold out too.Thought i might get out this weekend but Friday night around 9 or 10 o'clock it started.Man you have a new machine to try out maybe take hair dryer and extension cord outside and clean a spot on the lawn and pretend its summer,I know if i had a new machine i would have worn the battery down from turning it on and off and playing with it. How many times have you read the manual and read old post on the machine?I wonder what the weather wizards are predicting when this will leave and warm up a little.I would be driving around looking for a clear spot to try it out.Hope you get out.Waiting to see how that machine works in Ohio.

Thats the worst only good point you might not have to drive in it.It seems to be storming every where if its not snow it raining hard every where else and flooding.Hope this clears up soon.Watch the weather channel it doesn't seem like to many people can get out and hunt.Hoping for early spring and long summer.

Nice pics it looks a little deep in some of the pics is it warm when you come out of the mountains? Does it just snow in the mountains or does it snow all over where you are at?Look like fun nice time to get some good pics.

The snow was pretty powdery that time out. It had just snowed about 2 feet in the last week and there was around 5 feet total on the ground. It can be pretty cold up in the mountains at times. Depends on the time of year. It can be snowing like crazy up there and then you come down into Boise and no snow at all.

Sound like a nice place seems you can enjoy both warm weather and the mountains.Must nice to metal detect around there.I cant take the snow anymore but it seem you have a choice of either. The pic were beautiful i have only seen those snow shoes around here a couple of time most use cross country skis around here when they go in the woods.Hope you got a chance to go hunting this weekend .Waiting to see the pics.
