Story & Pics of Tunnel Close to My House (long) - Lisa

NO THANKS, BILL!!!!!!!! I ain't eatin snake!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it looks like you do a super job on making the rattlers, but I'll pass on those too. I see too many of the real snakes here - without adding fake ones to the scenery!

We have a Rails to Trails trail not too far away. Planning to do some hiking over there this spring, if not before.

I was never caught in the tunnel while a train was going through, but had some close calls. We would usually take off running when we would hear the train coming. I know plenty of people who were caught in there and I'm glad I'm not one of them! I will add a couple of pics here of two of the manholes. I've never counted to see how many there are in there. History lesson? Thanks. That's what I do best! The only problem with that is, when I'm teaching, what should be just ONE history lesson turns into a half dozen of them, but the students seem to have fun anyway.
