Strange Button

I keep finding odd buttons this year. I have very little knowledge of buttons but I get aroound enough to know CS buttons are great finds. I can assure you the old heart skips a beat when you pop one of these out of the ground, but I'm beginning to think it may be just a bummer since I can't find anyhting like it anywhere? Anybody ever seen one of these?

Looks more like a overalls rivet than a button....... Probably what it is
