Street tear out finds

Mark in S.E. IA

New member
Fri after work I went an checked out the street tear out that I have been working the past month. The one 3 block long section they scraped about 3" of sod/dirt from the sidewalk back to the curb to back fill the area along the curb where they dug it out to put in the new curb. I worked both sides of the street for 1 block that night and found the stuff in the first picture plus 13 wheat's.

It rained all Fri night and most of Sat morning so I waited until today to go back and finish the other 2 blocks and found the stuff in the last 4 pictures plus 20 wheat's.

I've been over this 3 block section in the past when it still had grass and only found a few wheat's and I think I found a Merc there too. This area has real bad EMI and my Ground balance is #8, so the ground is hot plus their is modern trash there too. It sure makes a difference when they scrape a few inches of sod off.
