When we had the flower shop and I would get a cut with a very dirty knife......I would clean it out with straight chlorine bleach to kill any foreign bacteria that might have been on those flower stems from South America. Now that hurt like #@!!, but I never got an infection, I would not recommend that method. Super glue or Krazy glue is a great cut healer too! Surgeons are now using glues instead of stitches.......faster wound healing with less chance of infection.
