And I'm sure it was a tough one to swallow!! For quite some time I've been telling him that you can't rely on digital displays to tell you what to dig and what to leave. Two targets in close proximity to each other can trick the detector into thinking its a trash target. After I dug up a nice mens gold band, 14K 5.2 grams, that hit just like a pulltab on my new 350, he decided to start digging the pulltab signals with his 1250. He was rewarded with a nice Avery 925 cross ring that was right next to a nickle. The 2 targets combined to give them the same conductivity as a pulltab. Here's the pics of the days loot for me!!

And the trash I had to dig to get that nice gold band!!

And a pic of Strobey who is a much wiser man after being schooled by the Big Cat!!

The 350 is turning out to be a nice little gold finder for me although I'm pretty sure I would have dug that signal no matter what Garrett I had been using. I did leave some deep signals in the ground as the soil here is so hard and dry that anything over 4 inches is a real chore to excavate. That's OK, they'll still be there the next time.
That makes 3 gold rings now for the 350 so I'd say that it has more than paid for itself. I probably would still have 3 gold rings because I still would have been out there detecting with a good friend, but the fact that it's paid for now is sweet!!
