I think that perhaps my next rig will be a CZ... I do mostly coin and relic shooting, and since I am dropping the cash, I'd like to round out my herd with something weather/water proof.
That would work on land and water, ..... mostly fresh water creeks, but possibly on the beach and into the surf/wet sand area.... I know opinions are subjective... but I somehow have settled on the CZ brand... which unit would you guys think could serve my needs best?

Thanks in advance

CZ21 (you could find a used CZ20 but then it would be out of warranty, you would have no clue how much use it has taken on and if things do go South, FT would convert it to a CZ21 anyway). The CZ20 and CZ21 in terms of performance and features are identical. Only difference is the pin point button.

The only question you will have to ask yourself is what coil size since they are hard wired.

A little heavy for land use, but I've been known to put a rain coat and boots on and go hunt dirt with my CZ20. Pinpoint button is a weak point on the old CZ-20. Mine was removed and the hole covered. For that reason, I'd go for a CZ-21.

See the discussion over the last few days in another thread on this CZ forum about the FZ-12 coil. Some of the coil size trade offs are raised in that thread. For creeks and surf and where there is trash to deal with on land, I'd go with the 8 inch coil. 8 inch, in my opinion, is the most versatile choice.
