suggestions for fixing the ear on my coil/loop?

broke the right ear on my 17 inch coil on the CTX.

My plan right now is to cut some plastic and fit it to the ear and to the coil with a bend or tab then glue it with JB weld.

If you have suggestions please let me know right away as i want to get back out soon with it.

Thank you.

shov.

I see quite a few repairs on the subject . I dont think Id use shoe glue as suggested as the JB weld I totally trust for bond, strength and water proof too. Shoe goo...for shoes and too flex able I believe.

but im not sure. I see one repair used a extra strong plastic from an elec junction box. Ill probably do the same there as they come in black.

If the ears are the same as the 11" coil, I'll 3d print and mail this to you:
