Sun Ray Gold Headphones

Hello,

After reading several positive comments on the Sun Ray Gold headphones. I decided to purchase a set. After receiving them in the mail, I tried them out and didn't nearly get the performance I expected. With the etrac's volume limit set to 10 and the headphone volume maxed, the volume was much lower than what I get with the Koss headphones. I tried every headphone switch sequence possible and still no change. Thinking there was something wrong with the headphones, I sent them into the manufacturer...the manufacturer says there's nothing wrong with them. Is there anyone else out there having similar issues? Am I missing an etrac adjustment somewhere? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I have never had a problem with my SunRay Pro Golds on my E-trac. Except for the fact that the plug does not seat all the way into the jack, they work great and are very loud. I have the volume limit and volume gain set all the way up on the detector and use the volume control on the sides of the ear muffs to adjust and balance it.

YOU CAN INCREASE THE VOLUME UP TO 30 AND THEN ADJUST THE HEADPHONES TO YOUR LIKING,I HAVE A PAIR AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE VOLUME.

I have the Sun Ray Golds and never had any problems with them as well. Very loud and clear. Do what DukeOBass and Nock suggest and you should have plenty of volume.

I only use sun rays on Minelab. Outstanding headphones. Is the machine internal plume all the way up? Plug all the way seated?

Thank you all for all the responses. In my initial post I errantly entered a volume limit of 10, I actually had it maxed at 30...sorry about that. Big Boys Hobbies and DukeOBass I also noticed what you said about the plug not seating all the way in...could it be a faulty connection causing the problem I'm experiencing? Will the plug go all the way in? I didn't want to force it; I though maybe I'd damage the etrac. Maybe if I make a modification to the plug so it seats all the way into the etrac's outlet?

Thanks again for the input.

Jerry

Jerry, the plug does not go all the way in. The socket is shallow on the E-trac. The headphones work well and the plug does not fall out. Did you raise your volume gain also?
