Sun Ray Gold Pros headphones

Well i bit the bullet and threw down the cash for a new pair of headphones. I did my research... and believe me its hard when all the more expensive models seem to have the same specs. That said i contacted a lot of you guys on here and other forums im on to make my decision. It came down to the new Bushmasters or the Golds..... turned out to be a coin flip. I was doing an all day hunt with a buddy and when i got home there they were. I couldnt wait so i ripped the package open like a kid on Christmas. Grabbed the detector again and headed for the front yard. Took just a couple of targets before i knew how clear and crisp the targets were. Im impressed. I like my Koss phones.... but they just arent made well. I also noticed they were distorted on targets.... something you just dont know until you get a GREAT pair of phones. Anyway..... it wasnt but a few swings in the front yard and BAMM hit a 1956 Rosie and a wheat. They werent deep but as i raised the detector i was surprised at the depth i could air test them at. I didnt change any of my normal setting so it was clearly the headphones making the difference. Thanks for the imput guys. Just wished id had them all day while hunting.

The sound is GREAT Bryce..... now for the real test, D U R A B I L I T Y. Only short coming i see so far is id still like to have a bit more cable when i set the detector down. I guess the Koss's have me gun shy since they lasted about a day before the cable came apart. I dont think they would have lasted this long had i not put a 90 degree connector on them. By the way Bryce i see you found the graphics button:rofl: Three pair..... man you must not be married. I played the ole 20 questions with my wife and just as i finally think she understands why i need them.... round two, Christmas is coming haha. But finally i let her know who's boss.( i promised HER something brand new, hey im no dummy.... that and whining like 2 year old for a candy bar works every time).

I have 2 pair of Pro Gold headphones, and would not be without. Just started having problem with the cord on my first pair after several years, and contacted John who does the warranty work and said all I need to cover is S&H to and from his shop, the rest is covered under warranty. He said the newer cables are built better and have not caused many problems. Ralph from Sunray and John are two of the best in the business.
