Sun Ray Stealth X-12 coil plus Explorer XS = winning combination!
Went sniping with the X-12 most hits deeper than 6". The memorials I dug just to make sure they were mems. The Explorer does not lie. But some mem's were very iffy and the sound bounced from silver to memorial so dug them just to make sure.
I have never found four silvers in a day! It was a nice warm day yesterday too. Today there is snow on the ground! Michigan weather! You never know!

Not shown are about 10 more wheaties I forgot to include in the pic.
Don't know why people complain about the Sun Ray coil. <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug"> Mine is very stable and is extremely accurate. I think something is wrong with my old 10" coil. This 12 incher is a joy to use! Light, responsive!
Thanks for looking.

Yea, I cleaned them up some.
Put them in super heated olive oil and then dropped them in ice water. Pulled them out and gently rubbed with damp cloth. Repeated that a couple more times.
I find the shock treatment of extreme hot oil then very cold ice water does a great job. I think the hot oil penetrates the coin dirt faster. The expansion and contraction of the coin probably helps too with the extremes in temperatures.

nice finds how long have u been metal detecting to find all of it i am a bigenner and i find only like one cent a day

I usually fill my pockets with loose change. But don't find much silver.
If you are only finding a cent a day something is wrong with either where you detect or your detector.
If you have different coins like a silver quarter, silver dime, memorial penny, wheatback penny, a couple different indian heads (fatty and regular) you should see how they hit on your detector.
Maybe burry some coins in the ground, some flat and some at a 45 degree angle and some even straight up and down (those are the freeky hits).
Burry some with a nail about an inch away and a pulltab an inch away on another one and see how you can get it to hit.
I hunt in iron mask -16 if the area is real clean. around -14 if too chattery.

Were they flying eagle cents or 1909 s vdb's?
Something is definately wrong. Are you detecting a real small town park where maybe another detectorist hunts at?

Tony,
Nice finds. I'm glad to see that coil is working out for you.

Never have I found more silver in one year since 1999 as I have this year.
I really think maybe my old coil was not up to snuff.

Tony;
Glad to see your success with the x-12
I love mine, it is my everyday coil unless i'm in heavy trash then I shift to an 8" coil
The more you use the x-12 the more you will like it.
It pinpoints better than the stock coil if you use 90 degree sweeps.

Yea Rick, that coil is awesome. Who knows what I've missed over all those years without it? Oh well, can't cry over spilled milk. The successful pick themselves up and keep on keeping on!
