hello everyone hit my favorite spot this morning with my garrett gti 1500 with the stock 9.5 coil at about 7am the lake grove site and i found a large cent and as most of you know most are found with no date but it is a matron head with a dated period of making them of 1816-1857 so at least i could get that much from it also the usual stuff relic stuff . It really was a nice day not too hot and cloudy so it was PERFECT! the large cent was about 2 inches down in nice dark soil off the side of a old road or wagon path ? not sure. but again as i said before no hunting ground is ever hunted out !

Great find! I have found one in my career and it doesn't look half as good as yours does. If I ever find another one I am going to place it in my brag book next to number one only because it looks so awful.
