Sunday Sunburned Silver

DirtFlipper

New member
Howdy,

Got out today for a shorter hunt and got some sun. And got some sunburn. But I also managed three Wheats and one silver. The Wheats were all late common dates. I just rinsed the quarter off under tap water - didn't even touch it with a toothbrush. Nice loose, black dirt.

Also noticed that some other hunting had been done recently, and they hadn't done a terrific job of replacing plugs. So I spent time tidying up those too (tamping them in tighter). Looked like shallow plugs too. Hopefully the recent rains will help those recover, but it was frustrating to see. But they didn't get it all...

Nice looking Washington!!

It bugs me too when I'm detecting and see untidy plugs left by some other hunter. I end up doing the same as you...make them look better.
