Sunday's finds few and far between!

Me and Barberboy finally got out detecting about 12:30 and the finds were not like Saturdays. We went to 2 different spots and tried it and found a few coins but not like that hotspot that we have been hitting. My finds for the few hours that I was out were few and far between. I found 1 more Silver for the weekend and that gave me a total of 16 Silver this weekend. It was a Mercury Dime dated 1923. I found a Shield Nickel that was badly worn and had to use Nic-A-Date and a Liberty V-Nickel that was in great shape and they were dated 1867 and 1902. 2 Indians were pulled and the dates were 1890 and 1906 along with a few Wheats dated 1913,1916-d,1917,1919,1930-d,1934-d,and 1953-d. Still it was a very good weekend and I can't complain about Sunday since I now have the Oldest Nickel and it is going to be hard to beat at the finds of the month meeting. Have to wait and see what happens on next weekend and hope everyone else gets out during the week and finds a few nice keepers. Good Luck and HH.[attachment 26484 Merc.png][attachment 26485 ShieldandV-NickelFront.png][attachment 26486 ShieldandV-NickelBack.png][attachment 26488 Indians.png][attachment 26489 Wheats.png]

you don't see anybody else in here who found a shield Nickel and not many found an IH either - far less a V nickel!

James, you sure have some nice finds. Saturday and Sunday. Sure wish I could find more. Got out on Sat. used the Explorer. Found 30 wheaties, 1 rosie, 1 merc, 1 buffalo nickel, 1 indian, 1 canadian 1927 penny, 1 token, 1 boy scout metal July 1910, 3 rings and a jack knife. I'll try to post them if the picture turns out. I went out the next day with the sov. to cover the same ground to see if the explorer did the job. It did because I only found 1 penny that I missed the day before.
