Sundays Hunt

Took my reliable old 1250 out early Sunday morning, before the Texas heat set in. Hooked up the Super Sniper 4 1/2" coil and started hunting a small area in a park next to a swimming hole. I knew the pulltabs would abound in great quanities as I had been told by another detectorist(Tesoro) that I had seen out there the week before. He said that area had been pounded pretty hard, so I was not counting on finding too much. Wrong!! Pulled up 12 quarters, 15 dimes, 26 pennies and 1 silver ring, just digging belltones, in 3 1/2 hrs. The heat and exhaustion finally won out or I could have probably gotten quite a few more. I loves me Garretts!!

That 1250 is a heck of a machine..I started with one and made alot of very nice finds.. I would recommend that machine to anyone wanting a good coin machine as it is deadly on dimes..I have found dimes to 8 inches with that thing with stock coil..
Patients and a good machine will always outhunt someone in a hurry..
Congrats on the hunt..
