SunRay 12.5" CZ coil....

Here's a good picture of the new Sun Ray large coil for the CZ's.....I really like this thing & had a great field test with it. (note Super Bowl champs sweatshirt) HH, Bill

What we may need to see is a good & convincing test done on one of your wet saltwater beaches to convince us to buy one.
I myself would like to see a sensitivity & depth comparison test done between SunRay 12 1/2 inch CZ coil & the 10 1/2 inch Fisher CZ coil on one of the not so nice wet saltwater beaches in your area.
While your at it, try to bring along a few area experts on the use of those Aussie multifrequency detectors for a FAIR BEACH COMPARISON to the Fisher 12 1/2 inch CZ coil setup.
I know it may be asking a bit much of you, & maybe I'll just have to buy a SunRay 12 1/2 inch coil for my retuned CZ-6a when it gets back to me from Fisher.
I do have a few not so shy Aussie multifrequency detector owners in my area who would not be a bit bashful on doing a comparison test.
Anyhow...It sure would be good to see just how well the CZ 12 1/2 inch coil setup compares to some of the popular & prefered beach hunting detectors.
I think most of us agree that a concentric coil goes deeper than a DD coil, but how well does the new SunRay 12 1/2 inch concentric compensate for those wet beach salts & wet iron minerals at depth.
Ah What the Hey!...maybe I'll just have to buy one & find out for myself.

I borrowed it that day just to try...I think it's an old Leche, or maybe a similar type copy cat? I'll have to find out as it was pretty nice....

& yes it would be no problem to corral an "Aussie" guy to do some side by sides with Your right, I didn't spend a real lot of time on the beach during this test. But the beach I did pick has mega-black sands that the Sunray handled well. Just understand that I had a deadline to meet & had a word count too. A final draft had to be in W&E's hands quickly to make a certain issue. So, I tried to quickly hit a variety of places to be certain it performed everywhere. It would be nice to have had months to do more in-depth tests, but that rarely happens & can get to be very wordy (People still say my C$ field test was too long:). Anyhow, since we still have snow here maybe this will be a good time to experiment more on the beaches with it.......HH, Bill

This is my own home made design...works great especally for those DEEP SEEKING Fishers.
I designed it.
I also fabricate them & weld them up for myself, & for most all of my gang.
What you're using sure does look a heck of a lot like a copycat of mine.
Hey...you been hunting with some of my gang?
Mike

Nice shovel... My brother hunts with a shovel just like it. I swing a CZ6A so I had to get a shovel with a longer blade.. Deeper you know
