Sunray Dx-1 falsing on M6

The probe falses and overloads just moving swinging the detector. It is not the line with the actual probe but the line from the box to detector when it is in the "coil"position that it becomes a problem. I stopped using it months ago out of frustration. I got an MXT recently. I was cruising the internet for deals when I ran into a shop that has the DX-1 new for sale still and reading their description it said that they were compatible with the M6 as long as they were serial number 699 and up. That got me thinking that the probe may not be compatible even though the SN is 1506. Plugged it into the MXT, and it works great. Anyone know what could be up? Rechecked M6 and still fslsing. It is not the coil plug becayse it doea not false even when wiggled. Searched but couldn't find any related info on the forums
